Octopus 8 Hidden Charges

1. Sign-up deposit $ 50

   A handling fee of $20 is required to apply for a Personalized Octopus , and an activation deposit of $50 is required to reopen an iPhone Octopus .

2. Stored value limit: $3 000

   Octopus issued from 1 October 2019 (including: iPhone Octopus) can store up to $3,000. If the amount exceeds the upper limit, a fee may be charged when returning the Octopus .

3. Returned Octopus will be charged $ 10

   $10 will be charged for returned Personalized Octopus (including iPhone Octopus)

4. $ 20 charge for lost octopus

   A handling fee of $20 will be charged from the deposit for reporting the loss of a Personalized Octopus (including an iPhone Octopus) or an Octopus with automatic add value function .

5. There is a charge for Octopus deregistration

   For Octopus issued from 14 October 2019 , if the Octopus is canceled within 90 days after issue , a handling fee of $11 will be charged, excluding Personalized Octopus.

6. Charges will be made if not used within three years

   According to the guidelines of the Octopus Company, if the Smart Octopus does not add value or be used for payment within three years , the Octopus will be designated as an inactive Octopus, and an administrative fee of $15 will be charged for the inactive Smart Octopus every year .

7. auto add value

   For Octopus cards with automatic add value service function, if you apply to switch to a bank that provides automatic add value service , a $20 handling fee will be charged.

8. AAV restart

   If the suspended automatic add value service function is applied for restart , a $20 handling fee will be charged.
